ISLAMABAD, March 18, 2014: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly passed three bills related to the agriculture on Tuesday during fifth sitting of its ongoing 11th session, says Free and Fair Election Network in its Daily Factsheet.
The House gave approval to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Farm Services Center Bill, 2014, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Security Authority Bill, 2014 and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tenancy (Amendment) Bill, 2014. A PTI lawmaker introduced the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2014 on behalf of the Chief Minister.
The House also took up a calling attention notice (CAN) about spending gas royalty in education and health sectors.
Members’ Participation in House Proceedings:
- The KP Assembly met for an hour and 25 minutes.
- The sitting started at 1515 hours against the scheduled time of 1500 hours, witnessing a delay of 15 minutes.
- The Speaker chaired the entire sitting while the Deputy Speaker was also present.
- The Chief Minister and the Leader of the Opposition were absent.
- The parliamentary leaders of AJIP, ANP, PPPP and QWP attended the proceedings.
- Forty-three members were present at the outset, 64 at the adjournment while a maximum of 71 were there at the adjournment of the sitting.

- No member applied for leave.
