Mr. Qaimoos Khan belongs to a respectable family of his locality. When Political parties Act was promulgated in District Swat after merger of Swat state in Govt; of Paktina in 1969, his family joined Pakitan Muslim League (Khan Abdul Qayyum Khan) group and remained in the same party till 1977 Marshal Law. He was elected Member Provincial Assembly in 1985 (Non Party based General Elections), however, the he joined the PML once again re-estableshed by the Prime Minister Muhammad Khan Joneejo. He was also elected as Member of District Council vigilance Committee from 1985 to 1988. Besides Member Provincial Assembly in 1987, he was also elected as Member of District Council in local bodies election. In 1988 general elections, he was elected once again as Member of the Provincial Assembly. He was also nominated for the post of Advisor to the CM in 1988-90 after winning the general elections as an independent candidate. In 1991 & 1997, Mr. Qaimook Khan contested elections by joining Islami Jamhoori Itehad and was elected as Member Provincial Assembly and Chairman of the DDAC for district Swat. In 1997(PML(N)) once again he won the general elections and became the Member of Provincial Assembly and the Chairman of DDAC. Mr. Qaimoos Khan, MPA contributed his valuable services as Member of various Standing Committees of Provincial Assembly as active Member of Agriculture, Education, Forest and Minority affairs.
