Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) initiated the observation of National Assembly’s parliamentary proceedings in late 2008 with the aim to generate objective and statistically-sound information on parliamentary performance.

FAFEN has now taken this unique effort a step forward to include the performance of the Senate, provincial assemblies and 13 standing committees of the Senate and National Assembly.

This report covers the observation of the National Assembly’s standing committee meetings held between December 2013 and March 2014. The observed committees include Parliamentary Affairs, Law, Justice & Human Rights, Inter-Provincial Coordination, Rules of Procedures & Privileges, Government Assurances and Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics & Privatization. The details include each committee’s functions, membership, dates and durations, agenda, output and recommendations.
