Will the Minister for Defence be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that the Military Estate Office has acquired 1044 Acres, 2 Kanals and 11 Marlas land situated in Village Surizia/Surizai Bala and Payan, District Peshawar in the year 2000 for purpose of training of Pak. Army personnels at the rate of Rs.2000 per acre; (b) whether it is also a fact that the rate of rent has not been increased since 01-01-2000 thereof; (c) if the answers to part (a) and (b) are in the affirmative, whether there is any proposal under consideration of the Government to increase the said rent to give relief to the land owners of said areas?
