Will the Minister for Law and Justice be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan was established to review laws enforced in the country and recommend to the Government to bring them according to needs of the society, adopting simple and effective procedure to ensure in-expensive and speedy justice, arranging its codification and unification to eliminate multiplicity of laws on the same subject, removing anomalies, repealing obsolete un-necessary provisions and simplifying for easy comprehension; (b) whether it is also mandatory for the said Commission to publish an annual report of its activities and submit such report to the President of Pakistan; (c) if so, the year-wise achievements of the Commission with reference to functions assigned thereto during the last five years; and (d) the steps being taken by the Ministry to make the Commission more effective?
