Will the Minister for Finance Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that the rate of return on the Defence Saving Certificates has been decreased from 12.75 % in 2014 to 7.54 % at present, if so, the reasons thereof; and (b) whether there is any proposal under consideration of the Government to increase the said rate on those certificates according to the rate of inflation in the country, if so, the details thereof?

Will the Minister for Industries and Production be pleased to state: (a) whether there is any proposal under consideration of the Government to close down the Engineering Development Board (EDB) , if so, the reasons thereof; and (b) the details of alternate arrangements to be made for carrying of the functions of the said Board?

Will the Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs be pleased state: (a) whether it is a fact that HEC has declared the degree of MS equal to M.Phil and has recommended the grant of M.Phil Allowance to the Government employees having MS degrees vide its letter No. 1-1 (NQF)/QAD/2017/HEC/49-176 date May, 23, 2017, addressed to the Finance Division, if so, the details thereof; and (b) whether it is also a fact that the Finance Division has not granted the said allowance to the Government servants having MS degrees so far, if so, the reasons thereof and the time by which the same will be granted to them?

Will the Minister for Industries and Production be pleased to state: (a) the details of quota prescribed for provinces and other areas in appointments in Pakistan Machine Tool Factory (PMTF), Karachi; (b) the number of persons working in the said Factory against the quota reserved for each province and area; (c) the number of persons appointed in that Factory during the last four years; (d) the procedure adopted for the said appointments; and (e) the number of posts lying vacant in the said Factory with quota wise break up and the time by which the same will be filled in?
