Will the Minister for Water Resources be pleased to state whether it is a fact that Afghanistan is building Hydro Power projects on River Kabul, if so, its possible impacts on water situation in Pakistan and the steps being taken to tackle the same?

Will the Minister for Water Resources be pleased to state: (a) the number of appointments made in the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) during the last three years with province wise break up, indicating also the percentage of quota which was prescribed for each province in the said appointments; and (b) the percentage of quota prescribed for each province in the posts advertised by the said Authority on 18th March,2018?

Will the Minister for Water Resources be pleased to state: (a) whether there is any proposal under consideration of the Government to construct check dames on various locations of river Sern in order to control silting in Tarbela Dam and avail full benefits of the present water storage capacity and production of electricity of that Dam; and (b) whether the Government has conducted any research on the said proposal, if so, the details thereof?

Will the Minister for Water Resources be pleased to state: (a) the details of action taken by the Government over a number of violations of Indus Water Treaty by India since 2013 with particular reference to the recently inaugurated Kishanganga dam; (b) whether it is a fact that a tunnel has been constructed for the said dam and the height of the dam has been increased against the initially approved design of the same; and (c) whether it is also a fact that an inquiry committee was constituted to look into the negligence on the part of the country’s authorities in respect of those violations, if so, the findings thereof and the action taken on the same?

Will the Minister for Energy (Power Division) be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that amount is still being collected under the head of Neelum-Jehlum surcharge in electricity bills despite the fact that the Neelum-Jehlum project has been completed; and (b) whether there is any proposal under consideration of the Government to change the head of the said surcharge from Neelum-Jehlum to Bashah and Mohmand in order to finance those projects, if so, the details thereof?
