Will the Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs be pleased to state: (a) the procedure being adopted by the provincial and regional offices of FBR in order to detect tax evaders using the information provided by whistle blowers and the average time being taken in detecting those evaders; and 10 (b) the name of authority that receives the final report of this investigation and issues the final directions in this regard?

Will the Minister for Science and Technology be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) has declared a number of bottled water brands in the country as unsafe for consumption in the quarterly report, if so, the names of the same, indicating also the standards and their respective permissible limits against which the said tests were conducted; and (b) whether the present Government has taken any action against, or issued any directions to the bottled water brands in this regard?

Will the Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that Federal Government has decided to finance the provision of gas and electricity to all the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) being established under the CPEC from the Public Sector Development Programme by withdrawing provincial mark-up support and Federal Freight subsidy to those zones, if so, the details thereof; and (b) whether the cost of provision of gas and electricity to the said SEZs will entirely be met from the PSDP, if so, the reasons thereof?

Will the Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms be pleased to state whether it is a fact that Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has approved dualization of the road from Dera Ismail Khan to Zhob on western route of CPEC, if so, the time by which work will be stated on the same?

Will the Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs be pleased to state: (a) the details of inquiries authorized by the Prime Ministers against the officers serving in grade 20 and above in FBR under the Efficiency and Disciplinary Rules of 1973 during the last ten years i.e. from 2009 to 2012 and from 2013 to 2018 separately; and (b) the number of officers who were proved guilty in the said enquiries in the respective periods and the details of fines / punishments awarded to them in each case?

Will the Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms be pleased to state: (a) the details of PSDPs projects, the cost of which has escalated over and above the original estimated costs during the last ten years indicating also the amount of escalation in each case; (b) whether the Government has made any study / assessment to find out the reasons of escalation of cost in PSDP projects, if so, the details thereof; and (c) the steps being taken by the Government to ensure completion of the PSDP projects within their estimated costs?

Will the Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs be pleased to state: (a) the volume of all type of tax refunds pending with FBR at the time of closing of compilation of data of tax collection during the last ten fiscal years with year wise break up; (b) whether the said refunds are included in the data of overall tax collections for a fiscal year, if so, the amount of pending refunds made part of the data of collection of tax during the said period with year wise break up; and (c) whether the Government has taken any notice of the said practice by FBR, if so, the steps being taken by it to make the FBR accountable for the same and to ensure timely tax refunds of each fiscal year?

Will the Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that the Government has acquired a loan of 1 billion dollars from United Arab Emirates, if so, the terms on which the said loan has been acquired; and (b) the purpose of acquiring the said loan and the utilization of the same so far?

Will the Minister for Industries and Production be pleased to state: (a) the share of manufacturing sector in GDP of the country since 2013; and (b) whether it is a fact that the share of the said sector in GDP has decreased from 22% to 13% at present, if so, the reasons thereof?

Will the Minister for Industries and Production be pleased to state: (a) the increase made in the prices of locally manufactured cars since January, 2018 with date wise breakup; (b) whether it is a fact that the prices of the said cars being manufactured in the country are higher than the other regional countries, if so, the reasons thereof; and (c) whether the Government has evolved any mechanism to check and regulate the prices of cars being manufactured in the country, if so, the details thereof?

Will the Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs be pleased to refer to the Senate starred question No. 173, replied on 30th August, 2017 and state: (a) whether it is a fact that the HEC has recognized the MS degree as equivalent to M. Phil but the same has not yet been recognized eligible for the grant of M. Phil allowance, if so, the reasons thereof; and (b) whether there is any proposal under consideration of the Government to recognize the said degree eligible for the grant of that allowance and include the grant of the same in the budget for fiscal year 2019-20, if not, the reasons thereof?
