Attitude and Behavior of the Officers and Staff of Public Health Engineering, Government of KPK

I would like to inform the House that my privilege has been breached. Prior to the Prime Minister’s visit yesterday to the Parliamentary Lodges at F Block for Fateha. The Islamabad Traffic Police and Prime Minister’s security had been deputed in and around the F block of Parliament Lodges and elsewhere within the Parliamentary Lodges where most of us reside. It was brought to my notice that my vehicle was being arbitrarily removed from parking by a car lifter that had been brought in to remove vehicles. When I questioned and confronted the above mentioned officials of the Traffic Police and the Prime Minister’s security, I was misbehaved with and I was told that if I do not remove my car instantly, the car lifter will remove it. This is a breach not only of my privilege but of the whole House and whole of the Parliament,

I move that my privilege as a member of the Senate of Pakistan has been breached due to the following behavior of Mr. Maroof Afzal, Chairman, CDA and Mr. Wasim Ahmad Khan, Member, Planning and Design, CDA, Islamabad. Sir, on 29th April, 2014 my meeting was fixed with Chairman, CDA and Member, Planning and Design at 4.30 pm and the Office of the Chairman, CDA, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Bajwa, Director Staff to Chairman, CDA had confirmed to my Senior Private Secretary about the above mentioned meeting. So, I cancelled my prior important engagements. As per schedule, when I moved from my office for the said meeting, my Assistant Private Secretary contacted the Office of the Chairman, CDA and Member, Planning and informed them of my movement. At 4.15 pm, the P.S. to Chairman, CDA has informed my office that the meeting has been cancelled by the Chairman, CDA. I was very much shocked on the cancellation of meeting at the nick of time without any prior intimation when I was on my way to the office of Chairman, CDA. Sir, not only that tantamount to misconduct and misbehave of the Chairman, CDA and Member, Planning, they also created hurdles in resolving problems of the public. Being a member of the Senate of Pakistan and a Public Representative it is a breach of privilege and behavior of the said officers is not according to the code of conduct of the Government officials.
