  Resolution

Sitting No. Resolution Type of Resolution Status
1 This Assembly resolves that we believe in the integrity of the Province of Sindh and reiterate our point that the boundaries of the Province should stay intact as they are. The question of dividing the Province in smaller administrative units does not arise as we already have smaller administrative units in form of Talukas/ Towns, Districts and Divisions. Government Adopted
1 According to the Article 2 of the Constitution, the territories of Islamic Republic of Pakistan shall comprise of four Provinces. Among those Sindh is the second largest Province of the country with rich culture, civilization, language and history. Its age is more than 5000 years BC. People from different regions of the world and cultures like Argoons, Tarkhans, Mangoles and others came to Sindh and merged in Sindh. Sindh has the distinction of being Bab ul Islam. The foundation of creation of Pakistan was paved through resolution of Sindh Assembly. Ban-ee-Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was not only born in Sindh but as first head of state, he presided this august House and Karachi became capital of the country. The democracy reflects choice of people and the Constitution clearly provides a valid path for creation of new provinces. If in General Elections any party secures two third majority or collation of parties forming 2/3 majority then it can alter the territories, Article 239/4 of Constitution also safeguards the entity of provincial boundaries and no change can be made in territories unless 2/3 majority of parliament and subsequently 2/3rd majority of that particular Provincial Assembly so decides. If any party proposes in their manifesto and secures two third majority in Provincial and National Assembly Election that they have a right to demand, and for other political parties is their democratic right to oppose. Keeping in view its glorious past and importance this Assembly unanimously resolves that Sindh has remained as one entity since centuries and shall remain the same with its existing boundaries intact forever. Inshallah Government Adopted
2 This representative House of people of Sindh expresses its deep concern over the situation emerging in the Federal Capital Islamabad caused by the sit-ins and terms their illegal and unconstitutional demands as conspiracy against Democracy, Constitution and people of Pakistan and this House also condemns the unparliamentary language used by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek leadership against the National leadership of country. Being a custodian and safeguard of Democracy and Constitution this House fully support and will stand by with the Democracy and rule of Law at any cost. Government Adopted
