Recognizing the importance of bringing criminals to justice and upholding the rule of law, this House calls for the swift and impartial investigation of these incidents while urging the government to take severe action against the perpetrators, regardless of their affiliations or political backgrounds, with due process. This House recognizes the constitutional imperative of an independent and impartial judiciary in upholding the rule of law, ensuring justice, and safeguarding the democratic principles of a nation. It is essential that the judiciary functions without bias or favoritism, maintaining the trust and confidence of the people. This House expresses concern over overt bias in decisions by the Supreme Court that undermine its credibility and impartiality, particularly if it favors one political party over others. By turning it in the mind of the public into just another political institution, the Court undermines its legitimacy and the credibility of its judgments. This House also strongly condemns actions that compromise the fair administration of justice and call for transparency, accountability, and adherence to the principles of justice, impartiality, and fairness by the Supreme Court to restore public trust in the judicial system. 27 Whereas the shocking, brazen, heart wrenching and shameless incidents, which took place in certain parts of the country on the 9th May 2023, and which incidents have tarnished our national image, are vehemently condemned by this House; Whereas this House expresses its full faith in and complete solidarity and support for the armed forces of Pakistan; And whereas this House resolves as follows: 1.That 9th May to be reckoned as Black Day; 2.That all abettors , planners , facilitators and those directly or indirectly involved in arson, attacks on military installations as well as public and private properties should be prosecuted/tried under the existing laws of the country including, Anti-terrorism Act 1997, Army Act 1952 and Pakistan Penal Code 1860; 3.That all relevant authorities to implement social media rules and regulations in order to tackle propaganda being unleashed against the country's institutions, both from within and outside of Pakistan, under the patronage and facilitation from multiple players. Those involved in such propaganda campaigns should strictly be dealt with as per law; 4.That we reiterate our commitment to national unity, harmony and integrity in the wake of current geostrategic situation and deprecate all anti-state elements which attempt to destabilize the country, and 5.That resolution of all political issues must always stay within the realm of parliamentary and democratic norms and resorting to violence against state institutions, public and private properties is totally unacceptable.
