Resolution
Sitting No. | Resolution | Type of Resolution | Status |
3 | This House strongly condemns the inhuman and cowardly acts of terror in Balochistan yesterday. The whole nation has been deeply shocked and grieved at the targeting of Quaid's Residency in Ziarat, which symbolizes Pakistan's historic legacy. Similarly, the nation has been stunned and greatly saddened by the callous, targeted murder of young women students, and the terrorist attack on the Bolan Medical College and Hospital Complex in Quetta. The House expresses its heartfelt condolences to the families of all the innocent students and officers, medical staff, patients and security personnel who have lost their lives in these barbaric attacks and prays for the souls of all these innocent victims and for the early and complete recovery of the injured persons. This House also condemns the kidnapping of 5 doctors from Loralai on 14th June, 2013. This House expresses its complete solidarity and support for the Government of Balochistan and resolves to defeat the nefarious designs of the anti-state elements and to deal with Balochistan's critical situation on an emergency basis through a national, consensual approach, so that the grievances of our people of Balochistan are resolved and peace and development restored in our largest province | Government | Adopted |
10 | This House strongly condemns the ghastly and shocking terror attack near the Base Camp of Nanga Parbat in Gilgit-Baltistan, in which tourists/climbers from China, Ukraine and Pakistan were attacked and killed by terrorists. This is clearly a deliberate attempt to undermine Pakistan's image internationally, so as to portray it as an unsafe place for foreign tourists. This House expresses its deepest sympathies with the families of the victims. It appreciates the action already taken by the Minister of Interior in issuing necessary instructions to the law-enforcing and security forces, and conveying condolences to the Ambassadors of the countries concerned. This House calls upon the Government to:- (1) immediately take all necessary measures against these anti-state elements; (2) reassert the professional capacity of the security and intelligence set ups and ensure greater coordination among them. | Government | Adopted |
