1 This House expresses its deep sorrow and grief over the passing away of the custodian of the two Holy mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud on January 23, 2015. The Senate of Pakistan conveys its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on this sad occasion. The Late King was a sincere and reliable friend of Pakistan. The people of Pakistan will always cherish the warm and wholehearted support he extended to Pakistan on every occasion. Late King Abdullah occupied a prominent place among the Muslim leaders and was held a high esteem by the Muslim Ummah and the international community. He will be remembered, especially, for being a visionary leader. His initiatives for interfaith relations will always be remembered.
