Islamabad, March 7, 2024: The Provincial Assembly of Sindh convened on Thursday for the first sitting of the second session.
The following are key observations of the sitting:
• The House unanimously passed the resolution moved by the leader of the House hailing the Supreme Court’s verdict in the former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s reference case.
• As many as 10 members spoke on the resolution for 78 minutes.
• The session commenced 30 minutes behind schedule, lasting for an hour and 45 minutes, including a 10-minute recess. Initially, 85 members were present, reduced to 88 by the session’s conclusion. Additionally, seven members, elected to seats reserved for minorities, attended the sitting.
• The session was prorogued sine die.
