Will the Minister for Water and Power be pleased to state: (a) the causes of delay in starting work on Suki Kanari Hydropower Project and the steps being taken by the Government to overcome the same; (b) the time by which the construction work on the said project will be started; and (c) whether there is any proposal under consideration of the Government to launch some other power projects in Kaghan valley, if so, the details thereof?

Will the Minister Incharge of the Climate Change Division be pleased to state: (a) whether there is any official mechanism in place in order to assess impact of a high intensity earthquake in densely populated areas of the country particularly those areas which are prone to earthquakes such as Islamabad and Rawalpindi; (b) the steps taken by the Government to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities in urban infrastructure, such as the design and construction of high-rise buildings in the country keeping in view the above said earthquake; and (c) whether there is any contingency plan of the Government for timely emergency response to deal with mass casualties and to provide medical treatment, foodstuff and shelter to the affectees of a large magnitude earthquake?
